TOEFL TIPS

Thousands of students around the world take the TOEFL every year and by according to toefl.com this test is accepted at approximately 7 500 colleges, universities and agencies in over 130 countries. More so, the test is offered at more than 4 500 test sites in more than 165 countries.  A student have the option of taking the iBT (the internet-based test) which is computer assisted or the PBT (paper-based test).  The iBT has four parts to it, and that includes speaking, reading, listening and writing.   The PBT has three parts: listening comprehension, structure and written expression, and reading. The iBT is offered as a subsitute for the paper based test and the paper based test is offered to those who do not have access to the internet.

In this section I will offer some practice exercises for vocabulary, reading, speaking, listening and writing on the TOEFL test.



TOEFL Vocabulary Development

In English there are words and phrases that are commonly used. The best way to increase these expressions is by reading and highlighting the words that you do not know. Then by looking them up in the dictionary. On account that there is more than one meaning for most words, it's important to make sure that the definition found is in context to how it is used in the sentence. Additionally, review the new words and practice using them in conversation when the situation arises.


The words below may or may not be on the TOEFL; however, they are great vocabulary builders.

The other thing learning new language takes is some responsibility and time management. Few days ago I have purchased course online which I treat as additional tool in my English learning experience.
